The total length of the Sheffield
and South Yorkshire Navigation is now navigable. The
navigation has many leisure and tourism attractions
with the multi-million pound redevelopment of Sheffield
Basin at its head. Throughout the don valley the environmental
and recreational infrastructure has been vastly improved
in a bid to make the Sheffield and South Yorkshire
Navigation one of the most contrasting, interesting
and educational waterways in Britain
